Correctional Movement
I work with individuals to regain proper movement patterns disrupted by injury, posture or age related degeneration. After a thorough assessment of movement patterns, I use a multifaceted approach to inhibit and lengthen overactive muscles, activate underactive/weak muscles and integrate movements to re-establish coordination and neuromuscular control.
Balance
In my work with seniors, my primary focus is on improving their balance, stability, and coordination to enhance their overall quality of life and reduce the risk of falls and injuries. I employ a holistic approach that combines various techniques, including strength training, flexibility exercises, and balance drills. By tailoring individualized programs, I help my clients regain their confidence, independence, and mobility, enabling them to enjoy a more active and fulfilling lifestyle as they age.
Strength and Flexibility
My work revolves around optimizing strength, core strength, flexibility, and/or sport performance. I design tailored fitness regimens and training programs that aim to enhance these key aspects of physical fitness. By focusing on targeted exercises, nutritional guidance, and performance assessments, I help individuals, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts achieve their goals, improve their overall fitness levels, and excel in their respective sports or activities.
Prehab
Prehab, short for "prehabilitation," is a proactive approach to healthcare that involves preparing the body for a potential injury or surgery. It typically involves a series of exercises, stretching routines, and other preventive measures aimed at strengthening and conditioning specific areas of the body, often in advance of a planned surgery or to reduce the risk of injury in physical activities or sports. Prehab programs are designed to improve an individual's physical condition, and ultimately minimizing recovery time and enhancing post-injury or post-surgery outcomes.
By staying up to date on current, credible research and having more than 22 years of experience, I can provide my clients with evidence based techniques and strategies.
